Year End Haul

I bought things when I went out a few days ago and i wanna share with you girls.

1. Laneila Eyelid Sticker (MYR 2.30 at MR DIY)
It contains 144 sets of stickers which is a good bargain. This kind of sticker/tape is very famous among Chinese because it can help you achieve double lid. I have obvious uneven eyelids. One is hooded and the other is double lid. Sometimes, when I wear eye makeup I also need to wear this tape as the eye makeup draws attention to my uneven eyelids. Before this, I only use eyelid glue and I felt like it doesn't have enough staying power so I bought this. I tried it once and it's very hard for me to attach it to fold my eyelids. I googled to find a solution and I found out that, there is another kind that is better. The tape would be double sided. I bought the double sided ones at Daiso for MYR 5.30 of course and it's the best! No more eyelid glue for me. Double sided eyelid tape it is =)

2. Dhavina Pumice stone (MYR 3.05 at Mydin Mall, Kubang Kerian)
I never tried using pumice stone but I heard it's good to remove dead skin cells.

3. Laneila Cleansing Sponge (MYR 3.10 at MR DIY)
This pack of two cleansing sponge is scented. I bought one with carrot scent and I don't like it. That's why I bought a new one with aloe scent. Another scent that they offer is strawberry. Unfortunately, i discovered that it's not the scents induce but the unpleasant smell is actually the sponge itself :(

4. Hair band (MYR 2.10 at MR DIY)
They offer a lot of affordable hair accessories here as well :)

5. Essence Lipliner in the shade 15 Honey Berry (MYR 5.90 at Watsons)
Very pigmented and glides smoothly on my lips.

6. Essence Longlasting Eye pencil in the shade 25 Say Hi Light (MYR 8.90 at Watsons
Very pigmented and glides smoothly on my waterline

7. Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick in the shade Purple Power (MYR 12.90)
Very pigmented and glides smoothly on my lips. Love it!
wearing Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick and Longlasting Eye Pencil (Purple Power)

8. Palladio Velvet Matte Cream Lipcolor in the shade Brocade (retails for MYR 25.90 but I bought this at MYR 20 during Christmas sale at Guardian)
Palladio Beauty is a new cosmetic line available at Guardian. It is a Florida US based brand with a tagline; Botanical & Vitamin Infused Cosmetics. They offer a variety of beautiful colours.
Some of the colours available
It's very pigmented but it does not dry down and its colour transfers. I prefer my matte lipstick to not transfer colour.
Colour transfer
This is how I look with this lipcolour.

9. Odbo Eyeshadow Pallete in the shade 01 Colour (MYR 15 at Pengkalan Chepa Pasar Malam)
Odbo Cosmetic is by Mega Cosmetic based in Thailand. It has 8 beautiful pigmented colours and i really like it. It provides both matte and shimmer colours.

10. Catrice Allround Concealer Pallete (MYR 17.01 at Guardian)
I'm not sure whether I bought it with discounts or not. Basically these colour correctors do what they are suppose to do. It's not that good but its OK. I find it easier to use using my fingers. Since they are cream colour correctors, the heat on our fingers will melt and pick up the product.

My Everyday Makeup Look

Slm & Hi girls. Sharing my go to makeup look. Basically, I only use one pigment both for eyeshadow and blush and then grab any mascara and nude lipstick I have. Others are optional.

Here are the products that I used to create this look.

Moisturizer: Virgin Herbs Pelembap Nusantara *this moisturizer get absorbs into my skin really quick!
Primer: AZ cosmetics day cream (for brightening effect)
Under eye concealer: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
Setting powder: MRC Select Sheer Loose Powder NC25
Eyeshadow and blush: mixed shattered Clinique Blush + The Body Shop Shimmer Waves *if your pallets got shattered, don't throw them away. Use them in their mineral powder form hehe
Mascara: Loreal Curl Impact Collagene Mascara *don't really like the formula. Too waterproof for me and too hard to remove even using Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). So DO NOT BUY this mascara. For the time being, I'm still using the Loreal mascara since I can't just discard it. It's not cheap OK. It retails for MYR 52.85. The trick with this mascara is to apply it one layer only. I prefer my Maybelline Rocket Volume Express more. I like its silicone wand and it doesn't get clumpy. For my next mascara purchase, I wanna try Essence False Lash Mascara since I've heard good reviews about it.
Eyelash curlers: Watsons lash curler and Revlon Gentle Heat Lash Curler
Eyeliner: Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama gel liner
Lipstick: Silky Girl Moisture Boost Lipcolor Balm in the shade Rose
Highlighter: IN2IT Pearl Powder Bricks
Nose Contour: 3 color pallete eyeshadow (Vodoo City) that I bought in Yubiso. I used the dark brown one.

Loreal Mat Magique 12H Bright Mat Foundation Review

So this is the latest foundation by Loreal in Malaysian drugstore. It's very girly IMO as it comes in a shiny pink tube. On the box, it says it gives air light texture, natural coverage and semi matte finish. Based on the name, it claims t last for 12 hours. The volcanic perlite in this foundation is a natural sebum absorbant. So it's good for oily skin. This is a video of this foundation enduring oil torture test.

https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1234010413336779&id=125228040881694

I, on the other hand have combination skin where I tend to get oily on my T-zone but I also have dry patches around my mouth and eyes. The retail price is MYR 38.90 but I got it for MYR 30 using Watsons voucher.

I really wanted this foundation to work for me but it turns out not as good as I expect it to be. I tried it a few times before giving a review. I've tried other better BBs/CCs/foundations that's cheaper than this one. For the sake of this review, I wore this foundation w/o a primer to test it's "performance" I would say hehe. There's nothing more (i.e blush, bronzer, eyeshadows) that I put on my face except the lipstick. I do apply moisturiser prior to the foundation though.

APPLICATION

The texture is very liquidy and it dries down very quick. At first, I thought it's the applicator I used. I usually blend my foundation with my damp beauty sponge. I even blended it with a stippling brush but to no avail. To overcome this problem, I suggest you girls try applying the foundation half of your face first, then try another half.

TEXTURE & COVERAGE

This foundation DOES NOT have an air light texture and natural coverage. It tends to accentuate any minor black and white heads that you have. It looks cakey on me even with one layer of application.

This is my photo under natural sun light and w/o a filter wearing one layer of this foundation. Do you notice how cakey I look? Forget about my huge pimple between my brows, but can you see how it accentuate my pores and other little bumps on my face? The good thing is, the cakeyness does fade away once you sweat.

FINISH

In terms of the semi-matte finish claim, I would say that this foundation delivers more on me. I think it kinda gives me a matte finish that is almost drying. I can't support or refute the 12 hour lasting power though because I don't wear it that long. Just a few hours. I couldn't wear anything for 12 hours because I have to perform ablution to pray. It's only possible on certain days of the month hehe.

MY VERDICT
I wouldn't recommend this foundation to girls with normal to combination skin. That's it. If you've bought it, I recommend you to mix it with other foundation that is hydrating. At least that what I've been doing and it helps. Girls with oily skin can give it a try and lemme know will ya?

Good Virtues Co. (GVC) Glowing & Goodness Brightening CC Cream Review

Thought of sharing the review I posted for Good Virtues Co. CC cream a few days back. Perhaps it's useful to those who are eyeing for this product. It costs me MYR 22.90 for 20 ml of product.

Here are the details of this product stated on their website:

My review is as follows:

Hi there,
I'm here to give a review on Good Virtues Co. CC cream. wore it for the first time today. I'm definitely loving it. like other BB/CC creams, it gives medium coverage. It's blendable with my beauty sponge. even though it doesn't come in colour range, the colour definitely suits my skin colour. I noticed Garnier BB cream is a bit tanned for my skin colour. It's also buildable; up to 3 layers on my skin.

It definitely lasts half the day. perhaps it lasts longer but I wouldn't know because I wash my face during ablution for Zohor. it doesn't oxidised on my skin like Garnier BB cream. It also doesn't crease under the eyes and laugh lines. It has SPF 30 which is good to protect our skin from Malaysian sun damage.

This product is scented with black seed though. I don't really mind as the smell dries down pretty quickly.

I'm proud that a local brand like Good Virtues Co. is comparable to international brand like Garnier. In fact, it's better than Garnier. Definitely will repurchase. Keep up the good work πŸ‘πŸ»

They even wrote me a reply πŸ˜Š

Hi Dee Yana,
Assalamualaikum. Thank you for your support for Good Virtues Co.! We're so happy and humbled to hear your feedback on the CC Cream. We hope you'll enjoy the rest of Good Virtues Co.'s products just as much!

Maybelline V-Face Blush Contour Review

Recently during Lazada MY Online Revolution, I bought Maybelline V-Face Blush Contour in the shade Peach. It costs me MYR 16.45 which is half of the normal price here for 4g of product. The shipping fee is free of charge. Yeay!

As you can see up there, this tiny pallet comes in V shape where the first from the left is highlighter, the middle one is blush and the last is contour. I notice Maybelline's innovation with the V shape, but I think the pallet is too small which makes it quite hard to pick up the product. I would appreciate if they come out with a bigger pallet. I once accidentally dropped this pallet but product is still intact. It doesn't shatter which is a plus for a clumsy person like me hehe

There's also a brush provided but it's not very smooth. I prefer to use my own brush but I still keep the brush as it can be handy for traveling.

Of all the pigments, I'm only satisfied with the quality of the blush. It's not that pigmented but it's definitely buildable. It also gives me a natural finish even though I can see a bit of glitter in it.

The highlighter is not as pigmented as I would like it to be though. It also has glitter in it but it doesn't do much for me. My brush can't even pick it up. I have to use my finger to apply it and still it doesn't show on my face. This highlighter is not going to give you a creamy glow as it's not creamy like most highlighters.

The contour colour doesn't look orangey on the pallet but it turns orangey when I apply it on my face. I think I would use this as an eyeshadow for a transition shade . Even though I won't use the highlighter on my nose and cheekbone, I can always mix it up with the blush or use it on top my my under eye concealer to make it less white. Perhaps the contour colour for the other 2 shades are not as bad as this one. If any of you girls have tried other shades, do let me know ;)

December Haul

πŸš—πŸŽ‰ December Haul πŸ’„πŸ’ƒπŸ»

I don't know why, but I always shop more than usual in December. If US has Black Friday, back in Nz we used to shop on Boxing Day which is a day after Christmas. It's still early December and I think I've shopped a lot! Maybe because it's the school holidays and I'm not that busy compared to other school months. Don't get me wrong. I have tonnes of work to be done but I don't want to do it now hehe. Hence I spend more time online. Or maybe because of the gloomy weather in Kota Bharu so I need to cheer myself up. Or maybe because I'm such a cheapskate that I don't want to pay extra shipping fees to Sibu. Anyway, here are the things I managed to grab and order that I want to share with you girls.

1. Odm DD 100-10- Purple. I don't know why I bought this watch. I saw it on Shocking Deal Promotion on 11 street and quickly added it to my cart. Perhaps because I used to admire this watch when I was studying. It has just arrived today. It's too big for my wrist when I tried it on πŸ˜” It's the original product and it comes with a manual book and a 2 year warranty. The np is RM 309 but I got it for RM61.62 from the deal and 11 street 22% voucher. The seller also provided free shipping.

2. Inspired Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in the shade Famous. I wore this lipstick yesterday and really like this vampy colour. We don't have Sephora in KB and when I searhed for this lipstick on Sephora.my, they still don't have it. I found this at Lazada for RM 12.99 with free shipping. I was feeling adventurous and added it to my cart. I'm quite careful with inspired lipsticks as they tend to give burning sensation on my lips. Luckily this lipstick does not. On the box it says it's made in Germany. The product is 2.5 ml. What O like about this lipstick is to it has a sweet chocolate cake smell to it and it stays on even after eating. However, you have to be careful when applying it since it tends to bleed out of the lip line. You can use a concealer for a perfect line.

3. L'OrΓ©al Paris Mat Magique 12 Hour Bright Mat Foundation. I have my eye on this foundation for quite some time because I really admire matte foundation look. The Youtubers really recommend tis kind of foundation as it can absorb oil from your skin. As a teacher, I don't work in air conditioned room so I really want to try this foundation for my T zone. I bought this at Watsons for RM30.01 using a RM 5 voucher that I got. I'm not sure of the np though because it might be on sale the day I bought it.

4. Egg Laundry Board. Basically this is a laundry board for your makeup brushes. I've been looking for this product for quite some time because I don't want to clean my makeup brushes on my hand. I managed to buy it at Daiso Aeon Mall KB. We still don't have Daiso in Sibu. It was supposed yo be opened at Wisma Sanyan this year but I think it was cancelled. The price is obviously RM5.30 and it's a very useful little product.

5. Beauty Blender. This is the cheapest beauty blender in town! I bought this for only RM 5 at Yubiso. Even MRDIY sells it at RM5.30. The local ones like QuPuteh and Sweet V cost RM 10 each.  This is the only one left at the store the other day. I hope Yubiso will update their stock.

6. Highlighters. I found myself having no working highlighters in my pencil case. I bought these 3 for RM 5 at Yubiso. They so cool since they have 2 tips; one is fine and the other is broad.  I think I need to buy more to stock up. There are plenty of colours to choose from but i only choose neon colours. If you are looking for cheap quality highlighters, you better go to Yubiso.

7. IN2IT Sheer Natural SCS01 Pimple and Blemish Concealer. I bought this product because it's a concealer with salicylic acid specifically for acne. It's a pencil concealer made in Germany with 0.28g of product. As much as I'm attracted with the uniqueness of this product, I don't really recommend it to you guys. It doesn't really conceal anything for me and it tends to rub off right after you apply it.

8. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I didn't bring back my Maybelline Micellar Water for fear I would not pass the immigration check point or even if I could, it could spill in my luggage. So I bought a new one from Garnier. By far this is the cheapest micellar water on the market (RM9.90 for 125ml) and the quality is on par with the more expensive ones from Maybelline or L'Ore'al.

9. Aloe Vera and Snail Mucus Soothing Gel by 3W Clinic that I got from 11 Street for RM29 with free shipping. The normal price stated is RM 99. I never tried snail mucus but I always have aloe vera soothing gel at home since I have sensitive skin. Before this I got the one from d'Herbs. This is my first time trying 3W Clinic product. This is not the famous one from Nature's Republic  though. I saw many cheap Nature's Republic ones (RM15) in shops but I don't know whether they are genuine or not. I don't really go for famous products because sometimes those products don't deserve the hype. It's made in Korea and this 3W Clinic seller displayed the original imported product certificate. I've tried the aloe vera soothing gel and it's absorbed OK. The smell is nice is nice as well.

10. This is a memo shaped water bottle that I got from Kaison. This water bottle is very compact and I can even shove it into my handbag. I used to have a bottle that's similar to this but it cracked when it slipped from my hand. That one was RM 19.90 and this one is RM13.90. This one is better as it has a rubberised feel to it, some graphic and a hole for you to hold your bottle. Because of the hole, the volume would be less specifically 380 ml compared to the usual 420 ml.

11. Lanella Brushes from MR DIY. These brushes are super affordable as they are only RM5 for a set! Those who are looking for makeup brushes better grab these.

12. 20 synthetic makeup brushes set. I bought these brushes on Shopee from China. The hair is soft and it doesn't fall off when you use the brushes. The price of the brushes is cheaper than the shipping fee. I paid RM10.80 for the brushes and RM11.80 for shipping.

A Review of Pelembap Nusantara by Virgin Herbs

This is a review of 420 Pelembab Nusantara by Virgin Herbs that I bought from an online seller.

It costs me RM 60 during promotion for ..... ( normally I would say the amount of product I got but I don't know how much the volume is because it's not stated on the bottle). The normal price is RM 80. Based on the description on the bottle, it's made from 99% natural herbs so it's organic. It's good for minor wounds and scars from pimples. It also claims to be able to prevent and cure skin diseases such as skin cancer, multiple sclerosis, eczema and others. However, I don't use it for that purpose so I can't really support or refute that claim. I just use it as a usual moisturizer and I've been using this product for a month now. They also produce oil for that purposes stated. (Feel free to tag your friends who have those problems that have been mentioned. Perhaps this product can help them).

I really like what it does to my skin. I have a combination skin where I tend to get oily on my T-zone and I also have dry patches around my mouth. It's perfect for my skin as it's hydrating but not too heavy for my skin since it has a light consistency. The staying power I would say about 8 hours before you have to reapply.

This moisturizer gets absorb quickly into my skin so I don't have to spend a lot of time to blend it. Before this, I rarely wear moisturizer during the day because I feel like it's a waste as we need to take wudhu'. Usually I only wear night cream after isha' or before I go to sleep because most moisturizers are not really absorbed into the skin even the gel one that I've tried. They just sit on top of your skin. You know it when you take wudhu' or wash your face and you can feel the moisturizer slides off with the water. This .2:4. Pelembap Nusantara does not.

This product is scented so it's a bad news to those who don't like scents in their products. The smell dries down pretty quickly though. I don't really mind because the smell is pleasant to me.. I  think it smells like olive. I like the packaging as the bottle comes with a pump dispenser. This way it's hygienic and you won't waste the product. However, the pump it's not so smooth. It's supposed to be an airless pump bottle but I don't know how there seems to be air in mine. Perhaps I got the bad one. Others might be okay. I would normally use 1 or 2 pumps only and it's enough for my skin. Perhaps people with dry skin could use more.

Overall I give this product 4.5⭐️/5⭐️ because of the pump I got hehe
*disclaimer: I wasn't paid or anything to do this review. I just call it as how I see it. So it's an honest review regardless of any future benefits I might get like discounts (a girl can dream hehe) or my relationship with the seller and etc. I don't sell this product but you can contact the sellerwhom I tag earlier through his fb or his contact number Mustakim 012 291 8708.
