L'Oréal Anti Pore Pure Clay Mask Review

I've tried L'Oréal's latest product which is the Pure Clay Mask. This range comes with tree types of masks namely Illuminating, Anti Pore and Hydrating.

WHICH TO CHOOSE

A few of my friends had trouble choosing which one to buy. These are the tips. Basically it depends on your need. If you have dull skin, you might want to buy the illuminating clay mask. If you have large pores, you might want to buy the anti pore clay mask and if you have dry skin, you might want to buy the hydrating clay mask. What if you have all of the problems? (my friend did ask me that). I would say, choose the problem that is the most obvious. I bought the Anti Pore one for only MYR 26.90 during sales. The normal price is MYR 42.90. It contains Moroccan lava lay and rosemary extract. I really like it.

WHY I LIKE IT

  1. It's affordable. I think this product is affordable for a clay mask. For starters, it's from Morocco OK
  2. It's easy to get hold of. Since this clay ask is a drugstore product, you won't have trouble to find it. You also don't have to order it online and wait for it to be shipped. Just go to the nearest drugstores and supermarkets.
  3. It's easy to put on.                                                                                                                      You don't have to mix it with water or anything. You just have to open the cap and take a suitable amount of the clay mask and apply it to your skin. I just apply it on my T-zone and cheek because those are the areas where my pores are visible.
  4. This product will last long since you also don't need a huge amount of product for it to work.
  5. I like the fact that I just have to leave the clay mask on my skin for 10 minutes. It doesn't take long for the clay mask o do its job. So, you can still apply this mask even when you have little time to get ready.
  6. This is the most important part. I like what it does to my skin. It really does what it claims it would do. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, softened and smooth guys.

MY VERDICT

I think you guys should give this L'Oréal Pure Clay Mask a try.  I haven't try the illuminating and hydrating clay mask. Perhaps you guys could let me know about that?

IN2IT COLOUR STIX MATTE

So I found this gem at Watsons the other day.
It's IN2IT Colour Stix Matte. There are 5 available shades and mine is in the shade Burn Rose 601. It has become my go to lipstick. I absolutely love it. Why do I like it so much? These are the reasons.

RANGE
I read that it's a limited edition. If you know the feeling of owning an exclusive cosmetics, then you'll understand me. I should probably stock it up :D

PRICE
The actual price is MYR 14.90 but I bought it for MYR 9.90 guys! Yes MYR 9.90. Can you believe it? I don't think that I could find another cheap lipstick this good.

SHAPE
Sometimes round nibs of a crayon lipstick makes it easier to line your lips but it's difficult to fill your lips. The chisel edge nib of this Matte Stix makes it easier for you to line AND fill your lips.

TEXTURE
As written on the lipstick, it's matte. The texture is so creamy and it fells smooth on the lips. It's also not too drying. Most of the matte lipsticks are drying for me. This one is not. This is how I look wearing it.
COLOUR
The colour pay-off is great. This Burnt Rose shade is nice rite?

VERDICT
You guys should totally check it out. Ok GTG. Bye xoxo

A Review of Arome Floral Perfumed Lip Scrub by Watsons

Last week when I went to Watsons (Malaysian drugstore), I was so excited to see this lip scrub as there's not many lip scrub marketed  here.

PRICE
I bought one slightly cheaper than the normal price which is  MYR 22.90. It costed me MYR 20.61.

PACKAGING

I really like the packaging. On the packaging, it says, this lip scrub makes lips soft and moist with its fine sugar which will remove dead skin cells and the appearance of lines on the lips. It also contains collagen and Hyaluronic Acid for hydration and repair as well as Vitamin E and Shea butter for moisture.

DIRECTION
The direction to use it is easy. You just have to massage the lip scrub on your lips in circular motion for 30 seconds. Then, wash it away with lukewarm water.

USAGE EXPERIENCE
I tried this lip scrub. Overall, it was OK. The smell is really pleasant. It does make a difference to my lips as they are smoother.

VERDICT
However, it's not that impressive. It's nothing you can't achieve with the things you already have in your kitchen. Rub some brown sugar and honey on your lips and it will produce the same result. You also don't have to pay MYR20+ for it. So for me, this product is a pass. I wouldn't repurchase it.

A review of Heng Fang Skinny Microcara

This is a review a mascara called Heng Fang Skinny Microcare.

 Heng Fang Skinny Microcara.
 The wand.

The ingredients.

It's made in People's Republic of China (PRC). Let's be honest, what's not made in PRC nowadays? hehe. What I really mean is, this brand is originated  and formulated in PRC hence, the name. The mascara wand is soo tiny that it has 2.5mm brushes. It's a lengthening instead of a volumising mascara. This type of mascara is suitable for people with monolid eyes or hooded eyes like me. People with 'normal' almond eyes, can also use this type of mascara especially on their lower lashes.

This is a look of a 'normal' eye wearing this mascara.

The lengthening effect.

PROS

EASY TO APPLY
I'm very clumsy when it comes to applying mascara. Most of the time, the ,mascara would get on my lid or around my eyes. Then, I have to clean it up with a cotton bud. The tiny brushes make it easy for this mascara to coat individual lashes. I also get to maneuver the mascara better. It's very easy to use because it doesn't smudge as much as a normal mascara would during application. I like how my lashes turn out using this mascara. Can you see how lifted my lashes are? :D

My hooded eye wearing this mascara.                                   View from the side.

WATERPROOF

I like to rub my eyes. So it's a must for me to use only waterproof mascara. And this skinny mascara is. Once it's completely dried, I don't have to worry about anything.

EASY TO REMOVE
Both my current mascara which is L'oreal Curl Impact Collegene Mascara and this new Heng Fang Skinny Microcara are waterproof. The L'oreal Mascara has to be removed with an oil based remover like Virgin Coconut Oil. Other types of removers do not work. The good news is, this Skinny Microcara can be removed with just micellar water.

AFFORDABLE
You all must have known by now that I'm a sucker for dupes and affordable makeups rite. Although it can't be found in the drugstore, this mascara is more on the affordable side. I've seen people marketed this type of mascara for RM 50.00 on facebook. You can find it on facebook. It's called The Orchid Mascara which is the same thing I bet!

CONS

PRODUCT AMOUNT
The only thing that I'm not happy with this mascara is the amount of product I got. Do you notice the wand end is longer than the tube end for this mascara? This is because, this mascara only gives 3 grams of product instead of the usual 8-9 grams of product. I guess it suits the price.

Mustika Ratu Air Sari Mawar Putih [White Rose Water] as a setting spray

I've been meaning to write about this product since New Year but somehow I couldn't find the time. So without further ado, let's start.

Mustika Ratu is an established beauty brand from Indonesia. This is actually not a new product but it was my first time trying this product. If I'm not mistaken, I bought it for MYR 8.30 for 150ml of product at Mydin Mall. This product also comes in lime scent. Other than water, Mustika Ratu also makes a few cleansing milk. As stated on the bottle, it's refreshing to the skin. It contains aromatic essential white rose oil and Vitamin A, E & F. The composition is aqua, polysorbate 20, PEG-20, Glyceryl Laurate, Tocopherol, Linoleic Acid, Retinyl Palmitate, Alcohol, Rosa Rugosa Flower Oil and Methylparaben. And the smell of it guys, it's sooo pleasant. I really like it.

At first, I just used it as prescribed, a toner. They also said it can be used to be mixed with facial peeling, scrub and mask which they also produce. I found it sitting on my shelf for a long time since I don't really use a toner in my skin care routine. I'm a bit concern if it would make my skin dry since it has Alcohol in it.

Later, I got the idea of pouring it into a spray bottle. You can buy the spray bottle at Mr DIY, Daiso or any other similar stores. It's not that expensive. However, choosing the right nozzle is a bit tricky. Some will give you uneven spray out. I also added some 3W Clinic Aloe Vera gel to make it more hydrating.  After you mix them,  make sure you shake them. Now I have a setting spray. yeay.

It does reduce the powdery appearance of my makeup but I don't think it prolongs the wear of it. At least it doesn't make much difference to me. Perhaps you girls could try it and share with me how it works on you. Cheers.

Year End Haul

I bought things when I went out a few days ago and i wanna share with you girls.

1. Laneila Eyelid Sticker (MYR 2.30 at MR DIY)
It contains 144 sets of stickers which is a good bargain. This kind of sticker/tape is very famous among Chinese because it can help you achieve double lid. I have obvious uneven eyelids. One is hooded and the other is double lid. Sometimes, when I wear eye makeup I also need to wear this tape as the eye makeup draws attention to my uneven eyelids. Before this, I only use eyelid glue and I felt like it doesn't have enough staying power so I bought this. I tried it once and it's very hard for me to attach it to fold my eyelids. I googled to find a solution and I found out that, there is another kind that is better. The tape would be double sided. I bought the double sided ones at Daiso for MYR 5.30 of course and it's the best! No more eyelid glue for me. Double sided eyelid tape it is =)

2. Dhavina Pumice stone (MYR 3.05 at Mydin Mall, Kubang Kerian)
I never tried using pumice stone but I heard it's good to remove dead skin cells.

3. Laneila Cleansing Sponge (MYR 3.10 at MR DIY)
This pack of two cleansing sponge is scented. I bought one with carrot scent and I don't like it. That's why I bought a new one with aloe scent. Another scent that they offer is strawberry. Unfortunately, i discovered that it's not the scents induce but the unpleasant smell is actually the sponge itself :(

4. Hair band (MYR 2.10 at MR DIY)
They offer a lot of affordable hair accessories here as well :)

5. Essence Lipliner in the shade 15 Honey Berry (MYR 5.90 at Watsons)
Very pigmented and glides smoothly on my lips.

6. Essence Longlasting Eye pencil in the shade 25 Say Hi Light (MYR 8.90 at Watsons
Very pigmented and glides smoothly on my waterline

7. Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick in the shade Purple Power (MYR 12.90)
Very pigmented and glides smoothly on my lips. Love it!
wearing Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipstick and Longlasting Eye Pencil (Purple Power)

8. Palladio Velvet Matte Cream Lipcolor in the shade Brocade (retails for MYR 25.90 but I bought this at MYR 20 during Christmas sale at Guardian)
Palladio Beauty is a new cosmetic line available at Guardian. It is a Florida US based brand with a tagline; Botanical & Vitamin Infused Cosmetics. They offer a variety of beautiful colours.
Some of the colours available
It's very pigmented but it does not dry down and its colour transfers. I prefer my matte lipstick to not transfer colour.
Colour transfer
This is how I look with this lipcolour.

9. Odbo Eyeshadow Pallete in the shade 01 Colour (MYR 15 at Pengkalan Chepa Pasar Malam)
Odbo Cosmetic is by Mega Cosmetic based in Thailand. It has 8 beautiful pigmented colours and i really like it. It provides both matte and shimmer colours.

10. Catrice Allround Concealer Pallete (MYR 17.01 at Guardian)
I'm not sure whether I bought it with discounts or not. Basically these colour correctors do what they are suppose to do. It's not that good but its OK. I find it easier to use using my fingers. Since they are cream colour correctors, the heat on our fingers will melt and pick up the product.

My Everyday Makeup Look

Slm & Hi girls. Sharing my go to makeup look. Basically, I only use one pigment both for eyeshadow and blush and then grab any mascara and nude lipstick I have. Others are optional.

Here are the products that I used to create this look.

Moisturizer: Virgin Herbs Pelembap Nusantara *this moisturizer get absorbs into my skin really quick!
Primer: AZ cosmetics day cream (for brightening effect)
Under eye concealer: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
Setting powder: MRC Select Sheer Loose Powder NC25
Eyeshadow and blush: mixed shattered Clinique Blush + The Body Shop Shimmer Waves *if your pallets got shattered, don't throw them away. Use them in their mineral powder form hehe
Mascara: Loreal Curl Impact Collagene Mascara *don't really like the formula. Too waterproof for me and too hard to remove even using Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). So DO NOT BUY this mascara. For the time being, I'm still using the Loreal mascara since I can't just discard it. It's not cheap OK. It retails for MYR 52.85. The trick with this mascara is to apply it one layer only. I prefer my Maybelline Rocket Volume Express more. I like its silicone wand and it doesn't get clumpy. For my next mascara purchase, I wanna try Essence False Lash Mascara since I've heard good reviews about it.
Eyelash curlers: Watsons lash curler and Revlon Gentle Heat Lash Curler
Eyeliner: Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama gel liner
Lipstick: Silky Girl Moisture Boost Lipcolor Balm in the shade Rose
Highlighter: IN2IT Pearl Powder Bricks
Nose Contour: 3 color pallete eyeshadow (Vodoo City) that I bought in Yubiso. I used the dark brown one.
